When you walk into a CrossFit Rosslyn, in addition to regular gym equipment, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds, and open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting, and throwing. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. These workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a complement to your sport-specific training regime.
CrossFit group classes mimic competitive sports. As such, the environment is one of motivation, encouragement, and competition. You will compete for rounds, time, points, and glory with every class. Playing games and learning new skills are also a huge part of the atmosphere. Building strong relationships with peers and having fun working out with fellow trainees is part of the attraction to this incredibly unique training program.
CrossFit Rosslyn is based upon the program originally developed by legendary coach Greg Glassman after years of watching, working with, and coaching all types of people, from those merely interested in general fitness to elite athletes.
